The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has this afternoon announced a manhunt for Joe Mwangi — the controversial former manager to Kenyan teen gymnast Wendy Waeni.
The DCI indicated that Mwangi was wanted in connection with forgery of a letter involving a Cabinet Secretary. He has been asked to surrender to the authorities with immediate effect.

It was not immediately clear is the new criminal case has anything to do with an investigation launched by the DCI’s children’s unit after Waeni complained that Mwangi had duped her while managing her career.
The former manager also complicated his case after he exposed details of Waeni’s private life, prompting a warning from a prosecutor in the DPP’s office.
