As early as 5 am Tuesday, lines were filling up, crowds forming and roads heavier than usual with human traffic despite it being a public holiday.
Kenyans from all walks of life joined local leaders and other top dignitaries at the Nyayo National Stadium where the requiem service of former president Daniel Toroitich arap Moi was held.
Drama, however, ensued just as Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, was reading out a written tribute to the man who served as the nation’s second head-of-state.
A group of security personnel was seen swiftly whisking away a heckler who unsuccessfully attempted to disrupt the former president’s son speech.
