Harmonize alias Konde Boy has been sitting in silence since handing over his resignation letter to WCB management in August. The singer left with claims that his boss, Diamond Platnumz disrespected his fiance when he said she cheated on him with Mwarabu Fighter.
Harmonize has however broken the silence during an interview concerning his latest UK show. Harmonize said that the turn out was massive despite the short marketing and hype period. When asked about his Bongo to Lagos album, the singer said that it should be expected before the year ends.
“Well, album yangu inaitwa Bongo to Lagos. Itakua ni more of collaborations kwa wasanii wa West Africa and East Africa. Na ni kama East meet West. But the point is kuonyesha wasanii wa West Africa watambue zaidi mziki wetu, wajue bongo flava kwa undani. Mi naita Afro-East,” said the Tanzanian singer in BBC Swahili.
Afro-East is simply derived from Afro-beat, the sound of African music but it’s more popular in Western countries that the Eastern of Africa. The idea is to sell Bongo flava using what Western Africa is used to.
Harmonize however declined the question regarding the situation with WCB, “Hilo ziwezi kulizungumza sasa hivi.”
