National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, who has declared interest in the presidential seat in the 2022 elections, has been flown to Dubai for treatment.
The confirmation was made by Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
While meeting the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) leaders, Kabogo said he was representing Mt Kenya Forum leaders who were not present.
“Speaker Justin Mutur is recuperating at a Dubai Hospital, and Moses Kuria is also in the same hospital. I am here to represent them, ” Kabogo said while addressing the press.
Mt Kenya Forum brings together Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua, Speaker Muturi, MP Kuria, TSP party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri and Kabogo.
Speaker Muturi recently underwent surgery on his right-hand shoulder which got injured while pulling a drawer at his office.
The Speaker made the revelations on Saturday, December 18, where he revealed he was responding well to treatment.
“Three weeks ago just before the House went on recess, I had a minor accident in the office while trying to pull a drawer and my seat slid off the tempered glass chair-mat where I ended up hurting my right-hand shoulder and the back. I sought medical attention and was released to recuperate at home,” he tweeted.
“Unfortunately, the pain persisted and on the advice of the doctors, I have undergone a minor surgery on my right-hand shoulder to repair the fracture that I suffered then,” he explained.
