The current Murang’a County Women Representative Sabina Chege was once featured in the late DeMathew’s song as a vixen. We thought that was all until Uhondo News dug deeper only to find out that there was more to being featured in the song.
The two met back in the 2000s at Kameme FM studios where DeMathew was a frequent interviewee and Sabina was an intern at the time. They fell in love and had two of Sabina’s children.
The relationship did not last long after the fallen singer pleaded with the radio presenter to be her second wife but she refused.
According to close friends to the legendary Benga musician, Sabina was being courted by the Neno Ministries‘ Pastor Ng’ang’a. At the time, Pastor Ng’ang’a had a slot at KBC and Coro where Sabina was working at the moment.
Their relationship did not go far either after friends to the soft spoken media personality warned her against Ng’ang’as ill personality.
“We were not comfortable with that union. We loved Sabina because she had done so much for us. We were worried and wanted the best for her…Sabina eventually dumped him towards 2012. She decided to focus on the Murang’a Woman Rep seat,” one of Sabina’s friends stated.
She eventually married former Kenya Dairy Board Managing Director Maina Gathitu. DeMathew however remained close to the politician and was even made the lead musician for the Embrace Movement which is associated to the Women Rep.
