Deputy President William Samoei Ruto does not seem to be halting his 2022 presidential ambitions any time soon. He began the hustler nation empowerment initiative after his camp was branded as the TangaTanga camp.
His initiative has allowed him to engage with many people across the country as they have assured him of their support. Even though the coronavirus upsurge led to the halt of public gatherings, Ruto took another route as he now holds small conferences with a couple of leaders at his Karen home.
Today, he met with a group of Gusii leaders who included; the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) headed by its leader Omingo Magara, Vincent Kimose, Joash Nyamoko, Rigathi Gachagua and John Muchiri.
During their meeting, the leaders spearheaded and prioritized Kenyans peace and unity before getting to their political ambitions.

The Second in Command has called upon Other leaders to unite adding that they have a duty as leaders to cooperate, unite Kenyans and direct the country’s resources, energy and time at transforming our nation.
“We have a duty as leaders to cooperate, unite Kenyans and direct our resources, energy and time at transforming our country. Rather than establishing factions and engaging in ethnic-based politics, let us compete on the platform of issues, ideas and development track-record that will make Kenya an equal-opportunity country for all,” he posted on his official social media handles.
This comes amid ongoing Jubilee party wrangles which have greatly affected Deputy President William Ruto and his allies.
DP Ruto, who is also eyeing to field a candidate in some of the vacant seats, is reportedly in a bid to attempt and maintain the party’s stability.
In a recent statement through a close ally of the DP, MP Oscar Sudi, he urged supporters to cool down since the plans are in place to have a ‘hustlers’ party.
“Kenyans are sick and tired of Jubilee Party, no one still wants to be associated with such dirt. I request our supporters to stay calm we shall give you a signal very soon,” posted Oscar Sudi
