Friends of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore have continued to recount his last days before he died on Monday.
On Wednesday, Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange hosted Bob’s close friends on JKL Live as they recalled their last moments with the deceased.
The friends, who included former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, said that Bob was a great man and will surely be missed. At some point, Jeff recalled how he left a WhatsApp group they shared with Collymore and friends out of anger, but the latter returned him.
He went ahead to reveal that Bob told him that nobody leaves his group in such a manner.
“My most stubborn moment with Bob was when I left the WhatsApp group…but less than 10 minutes later he had put me back and said “nobody exits, it’s a one-way street,” Jeff said
On his part, Peter Kenneth said he had lost a true friend, adding that Bob’s death is not only a big blow to the Boys Club and family, but also the entire nation.
“I think we all met Bob under different circumstances and he brought us together. Each of us was given a nickname as we joined the group; I was nicknamed the ‘intern’,” he said
