Gideon Moi has revealed the last words that the late President Moi ever said to him.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi opened up about the final conversation he had with his father just hours before he passed away.
The senator was speaking during a meeting with leaders who include Governors, Senators and other guests who have been streaming at Moi’s Kabarnet Gardens home in Nairobi.
Gideon Moi said “When he saw I was starting to become emotional, he told me, my son, to accept life, you must accept death. But there is also life after death.”
The senator continued: “Be strong my son when the time comes because I am going home to my father.”
Gideon also went on to reveal that the words of encouragement from his father was the best thing that happened to him.
He went on to thank Kenyans for the support they have shown towards their family.
“I am thankful to you Governors and my colleagues from the Senate. We are grateful for the respect that every Kenyan has shown towards our family during this period. May our God bless you all,” he said.
Moi’s mortal remains will be interred at his Kabarak home on Wednesday, February 12 and will be accorded a State Funeral, with all appropriate Civilian and Full Military Honours being rendered and observed.
