Diamond Platinumz has for the first time opened up on the real amount Akothee paid him for collaborating with him.
The two collaborated on a song called Sweet Love, about 3 years ago. The song topped several charts across East Africa.
For a long time, people have been speculating that the wasafi boss was paid a whopping two million shillings for the collaboration.
Well, Diamond surprised many by revealing that he didn’t charge Akothee anything for the collaboration. He apparently was smitten by Akothee’s hard work and decided to work with him as a sign of appreciation for her tireless efforts.
Diamond revealed the much-hidden details during a recent media interview in Kenya.
“ Akothee hakunilipa. Tulifanya tu nyimbo kwa sababu ni mtu amabaye ana bidii na na moyo wa kufanya kitu,” said Diamond.
Akothee is actually the first and only Kenyan who has ever worked with Diamond Platinumz. She has also collaborated with Nigeria’s Mr Flavour on a song that did very well.
