Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is making great use of his time stuck in his house.
It’s been over a month since the government announced that the nationwide closure of schools and learning institutions due to the novel coronavirus.On Sunday, April 26 Education CS George Magoha announced the extension of the closure by one month but it was the Embakasi East legislator’s sentiments that caught the attention of the media .
Babu Owino demanded Education CS George Magoha must submit the exams to his office in his capacity as the secretary general for young parliamentarians for verification before they are rolled out.
Now with Babu knowing that students are stuck at home with pretty well “nothing” to do ,as you wouldn’t expect ,he took to his Facebook page to teach Mathematics showing off his intense skills .He taught on an array of different topics, including differentiation,surds ,algebraic expressions ,trigonometry and further logarithms.
The online classroom garnered so much traction that in the first few minutes had over 6000 viewers with his fans congratulating him for the good job.

Based on the video,it’s clear that the Babu Owino also known as Paul Ongili is indeed “over qualified ” by making sure students will be good in Mathematics for whenever school resumes .In a recent interview with Milele radio presenter Jalang’o , Babu Owino revealed that he has six diplomas ,two Undergraduate degrees and two Master degrees.He also added that he will pursuing two more Master degrees when things go back to normal.
Babu Owino was a student at Kisumu Boys’ High School and scored A- of 78 points then proceeded to University of Nairobi to pursue an Actuarial Science degree.After graduating with a First Class Honours degree ,he did his Masters then enrolled for a Law degree in the same University .
If any legislator has won this time ,it’s Babu Owino and it would turn out to be a bigger flex for him than anyone expected after being castigated in the past.
