FILE PHOTO: Irungu proposes to Maribe
Just two days after Joseph “Jowie” Irungu’s dreams of freedom were given a fresh squash by Justice James Wakiaga who pushed his bail application hearing to February 13th, 2020, the private soldier’s Instagram account has seemingly been brought back to life.
After more than a year of inactivity, netizens couldn’t help but notice when the account popped up on their timelines again; this time, a photo of the Kamiti Maximum Prison inmate and a lady who could not be immediately identified.
Followers of the “playboy” who had slowly become one of the most popular public figures on the platform prior to his arrest and subsequent detention were quick to point out that Jowie had deleted some images from his account; with special focus drawn on the missing photos of him and his ex-fiancée [and co-accused] Jacque Maribe.
It is still unclear whether Irungu himself is currently running the account or someone else is doing it on his behalf.
