According to African culture a woman can never take two husbands. However, a South African lady couldn’t say NO when it came to marrying twin brothers.
Pictures of the wedding have been circulating on social media where the three are seen showing off their wedding rings while kneeling on a grass mat.
According spokesman of one faction of the church where the wedding took place, Thokozani Mncwango, they are going to investigate if the wedding really took place as it goes against their religious beliefs.
“But what I can tell you is that the church is against this kind of marriage,” said Mncwango.
However, one of the church members said she supported the marriage, claiming it is better for a woman to marry two husbands than to cheat on her husband with several men.
“Women in our church have such relationships in secret. I’m glad this woman came out,” she said.
Another story had come out earlier claiming that some women were writing to the judicial council asking for women to have the same status as their male counterparts and be allowed to marry more than one husband.
