Eugene Asira, a German-based Kenyan musician, made waves online for the better part of Thursday for his performance on The Voice Germany.
Eugene, who appeared on the show’s seventh episode for the audition scene, performed popular Kenyan hit song Uliza Kiatu originally produced by Hart The Band.
Composed, the singer showcased his sultry vocals, easily taking the first verse as it moved on to a powerful chorus and bridge, prompting one of the judges to select it.
The judges turned their chairs for him, a spectacle to select him from their teams, as he finished his set.
A four-chair turn is a coveted feat for any competitor in the blind audition stage, as they choose which coach to proceed.
