Larry Madowo has just three months left on his BBC calendar this year as he’s scheduled to be off-air for the next one year.
He took to his Twitter account to break the sad but also good news, that he’ll be away from BBC for one year while he attends a one-year journalism fellowship at Columbia University in New York.
Madowo is one of the lucky few selected to take part in the 44th Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Business and Economics at the Columbia Journalism School for the 2019-2020 academic year.
What isn’t clear is whether Larry will be back to BBC after the short programme is over, but we all hope so.
