Have you ever eaten roasted mice inn your life? Those who have confess that they are very delicious and probably nutritious.
Cooked, salted and dried mice are sold in Malawi markets and roadside stalls as one of the country’s popular delicacies.
The Malawians hunt mice in their corn fields after harvesting period to add spice to their daily diet of fruits, grains, grass and insects.
According to the locals, the most widely eaten mice specie is the Kapuku, which is gray in color and has shorter tails compared to the common rats.
It now appears the mice were too delicious for Larry Madowo to turn down the offer of giving it a try. Below is the photo he shared after giving it a try.
I ate a mouse ???? for the first time and it was, well, amazing! Mice (not rats!) are a delicacy among the Chewa of central Malawi. I will eat anything and I had to try these. They’re eaten whole with the skin and everything. Tastes just like chicken ???? #wanderlust #goeverywhere #eateverything
