Popular Kikuyu benga musician Kamande Wa Kioi was involved in a grisly road accident this Friday morning. His car collided with a Nazigi Sacco bus along Kamiti road.
The singer known for his karanga chapo hit song was lucky enough to escape with minor injuries. He was rushed to Nairobi Women’s Hospital for quick medical attention and further checkup.
His close friend Ngaruiya Junior was the first to break the sad news via his Facebook page, revealing that the singer was in a stable condition.
“Kamande Wa Kioi was today involved in an accident and I want to thank God because he is fine. We are at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital and he is receiving treatment,” read the post.
Kamande Wa Kioi’s other famous songs include; Kaana Funny, Mu Ovacado, Marigiti and Uhuru ni Witu.
