Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has stated that Jimi Wanjigi is not part of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
Addressing the press, Kalonzo stated that Wanjigi was a party member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
“Jimi made it very clear that he is in ODM and until they resolve their own issues as a party, he is not on the table,” the Wiper party leader stated.
Kalonzo was speaking on Wednesday after One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals signed an agreement that allows their respective parties to own the coalition.
OKA brings together NARC-Kenya’s Martha Karua, UDP’s Cyrus Jirongo, Kalonzo of Wiper, and KANU’s Gideon Moi.
“We have gathered here as One Kenya Alliance… To formally incorporate all the constituent political parties into the One Kenya Alliance, we are glad to inform Kenyans that this morning, OKA principals have signed a Deed of Assignment
“This is an affirmation of our commitment to standing firm, together and focused on securing the lives of Kenyans,” OKA principals said in a statement.
Speculations had been rife that Jimi would form an alliance with OKA principals after a consultative meeting with Wanjigi.
