Nandi Hill MP Alfred Keter
Nandi Hill MP Alfred Keter is not one to toy with. In a valiant effort to show that he is staging a rebellion against DP William Ruto, he sent out a warning shot to former Harambee Stars midfielder McDonald Mariga over his bid in the Kibra parliamentary race.
Keter referred to the former soccer a star as a ‘non-starter’ saying he can’t be convinced or intimidated to back his candidature.
The outspoken MP also ridiculed Mariga’s bid saying he does not hail from Kibra and has never participated in an election.
“No amount of lobbying nor intimidation is going to make me support a non-starter like Mariga who has never voted in his life and is not even from Kibra period!!! #Kwendeni uko,”
The Nandi Hills MP was responding to text purported to be from DP Ruto asking Jubilee MPs to volunteer as Mariga’s agents during the Kibra By-Election.

Keter is among Rift Valley MPs who have been as rebels by the DP Ruto’s camp . Others include Moiben MP Silas Teren and Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny.
