The popular benga musician John DeMathew is being laid to rest on Saturday 24th August at his rural home in Gatanga. The singer had two wives Sabina Wairimu and Caroline Waithera as the first and second wife respectively.
The two lived peacefully and it will remain so thanks to the late musician who loved peace and spread love to all. Unlike in burials of other famous persons, John DeMathew’s send off was exceptional.
The first wife read an emotional eulogy dedicated to her late love of live. As if that was not enough to shed tears off most of the fans in attendance, Wairimu spoke of her relationship with the second wife.
“Let nobody come between us. Caroline came after me, anajua nilikuwa nimemtengenezea mzee. Caroline don’t cry, I’m here. Ile kiatu John alikuwa amevaa, nitajifanya mwananume this time,” said Sabina.
She also flash backed a moment when John would look for his shirt but not find it. Sabina would call Carol to enquire if it was there. Sabina insisted that the family will remain stronger and the love will be still.
