It has become no secret that there is internal conflict brewing within the Odinga family after it emerged that the only surviving widow of Kenya’s First Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga will be homeless .
Susan Odinga who has lived in the house at Kisumu’s posh estate Milimani for almost twenty years has to move out of the house to allow for the upgrading of the house as a national heritage .
She is known to be the mother of former Milimani Ward councillor Isaac Omondi Odinga who has been having a strained relationship with other family members .
It has been noted that National Museums of Kenya officers visited the house to set stage for her ejection.

One of the officers who spoke to Uhondo News said Jaramogi’s widow was shocked to learn the news of the impending ouster .
He added that the AU Special Envoy for Infrastructure Raila Odinga is behind the scheme to upgrade the house .This is to allow President Uhuru to visit it during the launch of the Ksh 3 billion Kisumu Port .
“She told us that the home needs to be refurbished so that the infrastructure there is improved on” the museum official said.
The eviction of the widow from the house is set to cause wrangles and more problems to the Odinga family adding to the legal battle it is invloved with late Fidel Odinga’s widow over multi-billion empire he left behind .
