Jeff Koinange, Bob Collymore’s best friend has spoken about his death.
The Citizen TV and Hot 96 presenter has revealed that he and other close friends of the Safaricom CEO knew he was going to die soon.
Speaking to Sam Gituku, he said,
On Saturday [last weekend] I was having lunch with my mother and sister and I told them to give me an hour I have to go see Bob. A group of us (five of us) we had known this was coming.
Bob had informed us so we knew that he wasn’t gonna last very long. He had been told by his doctors not to make any long term plans. In fact, he was told if he makes it past July he would be lucky.
Bob passed away at his home in Nairobi today morning. He was battling cancer for quite a while.
