Have you ever taken a moment to consider where the water you drink in some of Nairobi’s restaurants come from?
Well, two water vendors were caught on camera fetching water from an open trench and loading it on their mkokoteni.
They are seen putting the water in 20-litre containers and will later sell it around the estates and even restaurants.
It’s pretty clear that such vendors care less about the health implications such water would have on their customers and those who consume it.
I bet you should be careful when drinking water in restaurants or buying some from a mkokoteni guy. Make sure you know where they fetch the water.
