Police officers in Mikinduri Police Station, Tigania Central Sub-county were treated to a free-for-all drama when one of their members reportedly clobbered their boss.
It all started when the OCS of Mikinduri Police Station, Patrick Wambugu Mwatha, asked Stephen Sammy Lenairoshi to accompany two officials who were ensuring that Covid-19 protocols were strictly adhered to.
The two officials were Stephen Ogolla (Assistant County Commissioner of Mikinduri Ward) and Mr Maina (a public health officer).
However, the officer reported to the OCS while he was allegedly drunk. The OCS consequently decided to excuse himself from the drunk officer as he had other important things to attend to. That is when all hell broke loose.
The corporal reportedly rained blows on the OCS until other officers came and separated the two rescuing the OCS. The officer was then placed in custody while still drunk.
He is expected to appear before the court on 2nd December for the offence of assaulting a police officer.
