Days after trading jabs online and political rallies, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa met in person and shared words, thanks to parliament for playing host to such a momentous occasion.
Barasa was spotted with his signature maroon cap off his head after it was stolen in an altercation during Kibra by-election. During the incident, the Kimilili MP seen having a chat with Jubilee leaders when Arati walked and shook his hand. Arati then held onto his hand tightly for a few seconds.
Moments later, Didmus Barasa was roughed up by rowdy individuals who first grabbed his signature maroon cap off his head, before slapping him several times as others shoved him.
However, the ODM legislator protected Isiolo Women Rep, Rehema Jaldesa when the attackers turned the heat on her. Arati denied unleashing goons on Barasa saying that he is the one who saved him from the mob after word went round that they were bribing voters.
