Details concerning the kidnapping of former Milele Fm presenter Geoffrey Kwatemba continue to create more confusion among his fans and family members.
The gospel musician and journalist was kidnapped along Moi Avenue on Saturday while coming from his colleague musician Doreen Otipo’s album launch.
The presenter had allegedly sent his wife a distressing text moments after he was kidnapped. The text read,
“Please pray for me. I have been kidnapped by unknown people and we are moving around and I don’t know where we are going.”
Today morning, the former Mediamax employee posted a message on his Facebook page requesting for prayers from his fans since he was still in the hands of the kidnappers.
“Nashukuru Mungu bado niko hai mikononi mwa hawa wapendwa baada ya masaa 24. Siku moja watamwabudu Mungu wa Kwatemba. Si rahisi kuaminiwa na Mungu, Nashukuru Mungu maana amepima uwezo wangu na kiwango cha uvumilivu jinsi alivyomwamini Ayub. Endeleeeni kurusha mishale kwa maombi. Mungu anajibu maombi. Ahsante katika maombi nina ujasiri katika Kristo,” posted Kwatemba.
It is still not yet clear how the gospel musician and presenter managed to access his phone under the hands of kidnappers.
Geoffrey Kwatemba quit his job at Milele Fm after landing a lucrative position as Machakos County government communication officer.
