The body of a Primary School teacher was on Wednesday, December 8 found inside a borehole in Transmara, Narok county.
According to the police, the body of the 39-year-old teacher was found just days after he left behind a suicidal note.
Pius Mbithi who is the Transmara Sub-County police boss said that the teacher has been having domestic issues with his wife and that they suspect that it was the main reason that led to his death.
“The teacher who has been described as lovely by colleagues and locals left behind a note on his desk in school indicating where the family would get his body plus contacts of his wife,” Mbithi said.
Just as he had penned in his suicide note, the lifeless body of the teacher was found floating in a borehole at Kona Shopping Centre in Narok on Wednesday morning.
The teacher had left behind the note, went to his house and left on Tuesday morning, never to return.
A follow-up by the wife prompted the teachers to inform them that they had found a suicide note on his desk.
“He left his rental premises on Tuesday morning never to be seen again until when his body was discovered,” Mbithi said.
According to the police, the body was discovered by locals who saw a coat, a pair of shoes and a mobile phone abandoned next to the borehole.
The body was taken to Kegonga mortuary in Kisii County awaiting postmortem.
In November, body of another teacher was found dangling from the top of a tree in Narok North Sub-County.
