Embakasi East Mp, Babu Owino has caused a stir online today when he stated that he has quit alcohol and will focus on chang’aa as from 2020.
The youthful Mp took to social media to make the announcement at the amusement of his followers.
Babu stated that this was in line with his New Year’s resolutions.
As a compromise, however, Babu Owino stated that he will be quenching his thirst with Chang’aa only.
He also revealed that chang’aa is good for the libido and it will also be for medicinal purposes.
Babu has been at the forefront in fighting for the legalization of the brew which has been categorized under illicit brews.
Owino, who never shies away from speaking his mind, has in the past requested the government to consider legalizing Marijuana for both commercial and domestic use.
“Chang’aa helps many families go through school and the government should legalize it,” Owino had pleaded.
On the medicinal impacts of chang’aa on men’s libido, it is unclear whether there is a scientific backing of the claim.
Chang’aa users, however, insist that the brew is the solution to men’s rising problems with their libido and stamina.
It is not clearly, however, whether the legislator will keep his word and keep away from alcohol.
Most of his followers commended his move.
