Latrine turned into a church in Kibra
A toilet that was constructed under the NYS project has been turned into a worship site by a church in Kibra .
The toilet in Laini Saba area was turned into a rental facility being rented by the Christ Miracle Church For All Nations.
A group of youth put to manage the toilet says that they decided to turn the toilet into a church after the sewer it was connected to got clogged and could no longer attract customers.
It is not clear the church is renting the toilet at what cost but area residents say that they have used it for quite some time.
The youth further claim that proper projects that could benefit the area residents were not put in place during the NYS time.
The youths now hence forth want the government and other donors to be liaising with them before rolling out any project.
Efforts to reach out to the pastor and the congregation did not bear fruits.
